FOR AUSTRALIAN SCHOOLS & ROWING CLUBS
One focused platform for the people, information and everyday work behind your rowing program. From the first training session to the final race.
01 / THE PLATFORM
BoatShed.au brings the moving parts of a rowing program into one mobile-friendly information and operations centre.
Official regatta information sits alongside schedules, documents, athlete development and conversations. Everyone has a focused view, with access shaped around their role.
In your browser. On your home screen.
The platform can be installed as a free progressive web app on iPhone and Android. Your program’s subscription provides access.
BUILT AROUND RACE DAY
Find an athlete, a regatta or a race category. Follow the journey from the draw through heats, semi-finals and finals, with the official source at the centre.
RACE CATEGORY
Boys Year 9 Single Scull
Automatic checks compare official regatta data and publish genuine changes or corrections. Check status shows when the source was last reviewed and when it is due next. BoatShed does not guess missing results.
Weather support adds forecasts and recorded conditions, including temperature, rain, UV and wind direction. Headwind, tailwind and crosswind interpretations are clearly separate from official race information.
02 / YOUR PEOPLE
The same connected information, with the focus and permissions each person needs.
Know what’s next. Find races and training, log completed sessions and erg tests, and follow personal progress.
Keep up with every linked child. Find schedules, documents and published results, and manage absences for your own athletes.
See the program with a focused view of assigned squads and crews. Review attendance, record verified results and guide development.
Manage members, roles, invitations, content and operations. Keep everyday decisions in the hands of your program.
BEYOND THE FINISH LINE
Publish sessions by year level, squad, crew or individual. Manage absences, availability and attendance rolls. Bring erg history, personal bests, coach notes and goals into the athlete’s story.
Keep family letters, packing lists and timetables together, with versioning and acknowledgement. Coordinate equipment, transport, accommodation, meals and volunteers.
Search familiar one-to-one and group conversations. Reach families, coaches, squads or year levels with authorised groups. Push notifications can bring attention to draw changes, messages, absences and document updates.

04 / OUR APPROACH
A long-term service relationship, with clear responsibilities for the software and the information you put into it.
Email verification, invitations, administrator approval and role-based access shape the member portal. Parent access centres on linked children; school-email restrictions can be applied where required.
BoatShed owns and maintains the software. Customers license the platform and control their content and data, with appropriate export rights. Subscriptions can include essential maintenance and security fixes.
The service model provides each customer with their own branding, domain or subdomain, administrators and private data environment. Tenant-isolated databases and stronger identity verification are priorities before broad commercial rollout.
BoatShed is being developed with the responsibilities of school and club programs in mind. Before broad commercial rollout, priorities include comprehensive permission testing, audit logs, backups and recovery, data export and deletion, privacy, consent and retention policies, a separate testing environment and professional security review.
Safeguarding workflows can include reporting, moderation and authorised administrator oversight of standard program conversations. Parent-child conversation rules are to be agreed with each customer. These are development and rollout priorities, not claims of certification or completed independent review.
